First Communion Keepsake
A detail that stays forever

Some days are remembered for a lifetime. The First Communion is one of them. The First Communion Keepsake is the candle made for that day: a small sculpture in soy wax with the image of the praying Madonna, her veil covering her head, her hands folded in prayer and a heart relief on the chest. Made by hand, one at a time. It’s that heartfelt detail that guests take home and keep with care — and that the child will remember every time they see it, many years later.
How each Keepsake is made
Each First Communion Keepsake is made by hand, one at a time. We start with natural soy wax, which we melt with care and pour into the mold that gives the figure its shape: the veil, the folded hands, the folds of the gown, the heart on the chest. The wax needs time to rest and set properly, and only then do we unmold the piece by hand and refine it patiently, so every detail comes out clean and well-defined. No two are exactly alike: it’s the small variations of handcrafting that make each Keepsake unique.
A little piece of Mallorca
The First Communion Keepsake is born in Mallorca, made by hand on the island with the same Mediterranean calm we put into everything we do. When you hand them to your guests, you’re not just giving a pretty keepsake: you’re giving a little piece of Mallorca, from a workshop where every piece is cared for one by one. For anyone dreaming of a communion with soul, or who wants their guests to take home something with origin and care, that detail makes all the difference.
The perfect favor for first communions (and also for christenings and confirmations)
Its serene image and sculptural finish make it the perfect favor for first communions: one at each setting, ready for guests to take home as if carrying away a little piece of the day. And it works just as beautifully for christenings and confirmations — any family religious celebration where you want a meaningful, handmade detail, far from the usual standard favors. It goes with any classic or modern decor and brings that quiet elegance that suits religious celebrations so well.
A detail with meaning
Unlike just any keepsake, the First Communion Keepsake says something: it speaks of the day, of the moment, of the meaning it has for the family. Guests sense it when they receive it, and the family appreciates seeing it kept, rather than forgotten in a drawer. It’s the kind of detail the child will find years later at an aunt’s, a grandmother’s, a godmother’s house — and that will bring them back to the day of their communion.
Tones to combine
The natural tone of soy wax is a beautiful warm ivory, perfect for a classic, timeless communion. If you’d rather have it in a different shade — off-white, with a golden accent on the heart, with a warmer base — we adapt to what you need when we make it to order. It fits equally well in traditional decor and in something more modern and minimal.
Made to order, just the way you like
We make each Keepsake to order, so we can adapt it to what you need: the tone, the details, the number of units. For orders of several units — as is usual at a communion, christening or confirmation — we put together a special quote by volume. One thing: since these are handmade, one-of-a-kind pieces, it’s best to order with some time to spare, especially in communion season (April to June).
